So the weather has officially changed (for the worse) and as I sit in my craft room listening to the rain on the window I am turning my attention to all things autumnal. With everything happening in the world right now the start of this year feels like a lifetime ago, and here we are in October. What comes with October? Halloween of course. I thought this was a good time to introduce you to some Halloween dolls in my store.
Halloween – the 2020 edit…
This Halloween will be a bit different for many families with people choosing not to trick or treat as usual. One idea I have read is for families to go out looking for houses that are decorated and whenever they find one the parents give their children a sweet to put in their buckets. That’s a nice way to keep the Trick or Treat fun going while keeping Covid safe. Unfortunately for us there are so many people who decorate their homes for Halloween that I might need shares in Haribo before I offer my kids a sweet for every house they find!
Usually we spend our Halloween evening walking around the neighbourhood looking at all the amazing decorations. Some homes near us always go to town, with light shows and sound effects. This year might be more home based so I think I will do more to decorate inside and we can swap our walk for a spooky movie and snacks.
Ive been collecting some ideas for easy Halloween decorations and crafts on my Pinterest board so you can check out some ideas there. Ive also been updating my Etsy store with 3 spooky dolls.
My Halloween dolls
These Halloween dolls would be perfect to decorate your home. Alternatively you can give them as a sugar free alternative to kids (or adults) who love a spooky surprise.
Speaking of spooky, here she is. Spooky the Witch. This cute little witch doll has black felt dress and hat and long black and blue wool roving hair. She can be customised to have different coloured skin, hair and clothes if you want something unique to you.
Next up is Boo. This friendly little felt doll skeleton isn’t too scary and has a big heart.
The final doll I want to introduce you to is my newest Halloween addition. This little goth doll girl is shown here all in green but she can be made in any colour, with button eyes as pictured or felt eyes like Spooky and Boo.
So there they are – Spooky Boo and the little Goth girl too! Ready to bring you some Halloween fun 2020 style!
